Taylors Buttons supply buttons for couturiers, Mr Roy Allen, Jon Moore and Peter Enrioni, who all have links to the Royal Family and may be involved in this Spring's Royal Wedding, as well as high profile tailor Mark Powell. They provide buttons for the English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Diva Opera and Glyndebourne.
In London's West End, Taylors Buttons have produced hundreds and hundreds of buttons for the hit production of Dangerous Liaisons, the musicals Oliver! and Les Miserables, and the acclaimed recent production of War Horse. Mrs Rose has covered buttons for the Harry Potter films, Mamma Mia, provided a beautiful scarlet leather belt for Eva Green to wear in the James Bond film Casino Royale and supplied every single button that was used in the film Barry Lyndon. She has worked for Angels, one of the biggest theatrical costumiers in the country and Academy, also a very well-known costume designer.
In fashion, Maureen Rose has made couture buttons in huge numbers for Hardy Amies, Norman Hartnell and La Chasse, to name but a few. She has worked for Vivienne Westwood, Bruce Oldfield, Paul Smith and handbag designer Lulu Guinness. She has supplied tailors Aquascutum and Gieves and Hawkes as well as other Savile Row tailors, and has worked for Royal Tailors Lepley.
She made buttons for the Iron Lady herself, Margaret Thatcher, for her public appearances. But not forgetting sport; Maureen recently received an order to engrave buttons with the Arsenal Football Club Logo. There is barely an area of British Public life which has not been furnished in some way by Taylors Buttons.
